Air China has applied fuel and insurance surcharges as follows responding to high aviation fuel prices and the cost of insurance coverage.

Details

1. International flights departing from/arriving in Japan

1) Japan-China international route zone

Applicable period: Tickets issued on/after December 1, 2011 and on/before January 31, 2012

* For code-share flights, the above charges apply on Air China (CA) flights. * Starting October 2010, Fuel Surcharge is revised every two months.

The applicable amount is determined based on the 2-month average of the daily (on days when transactions occur) spot price (Singapore kerosene) shown on the United States Department of Energy website and is fixed for 2 months. An application will be made to the relevant government when making a revision to the amount under the circumstances described in the table below. Furthermore, if the 2-month average fuel oil price falls below US$60/barrel, an application will be made to abolish the Fuel Surcharge on tickets issued from the 1st of the month two months after the month in which this was confirmed.

1. On international routes and the China-Hong Kong zone, all passengers will be charged USD 4.00 as an Aviation Insurance Surcharge. 2. Insurance Surcharge will not apply to tickets for China to Hong Kong and China-Macau/Taiwan routes (one-way, round-trip) issued on and after January 1, 2011. 3. The same charge is applicable to adult, child, and infant passengers (if a seat is used). Infants (less than two years old) who do not use a seat are exempt from the charge. 4. In the case of a ticket refund, the refund will include the full amount of the Fuel and Insurance Surcharges.
