Fuel Surcharge Information (Applicable period: September 16, 2010 through October 15, 2010)

Air China Cargo introduced a fuel surcharge on November 16, 2002 in response to an increase in the aviation fuel prices. The fuel surcharge is reviewed on a monthly basis to reflect the changing fuel prices and changes are made if needed.

In July 2010, the U.S. Department of Energy announced that the average fuel price is currently USD 85.63 per barrel. In response to rises in the cost of fuel, Air China will make adjustments to the fuel surcharge from September 16, 2010 through October 15, 2010. The applied fuel surcharge is listed as below:

Additional details:

1. Fuel surcharge for cargo departing from Japan:
   Air Way Bill (AWB) issued between September 16, 2010 through October 15, 2010

For China and TC3	For TC1 - TC2

The fuel for cargo going from China to Japan is CNY4.5/kg.

2. The fuel surcharge will be applied according to the cargo weight.
   
   
3. The fuel surcharge will not be applied to cargo of which the minimum fee is applied.
   
   
4. Please fill in the fuel surcharge with the [MYC] code in the [Total Other Charge Due Carrier] section on the AWB.
   
   
5. The fuel surcharge can be paid in advance or on delivery as long as the freight charge is paid using the same payment method.
   
   
6. To calculate the fuel index price, the monthly average of the Singapore Kerosene-Type Jet Fuel Spot two months prior to the revision will be used.
   
   
7. A review and any necessary revisions will be made 12 times a year, and the revised price will be applied to the AWB issued from 16th of the month to 15th of the next month.
   
   
8. If the fuel index price goes below the standard prices in the table below, we will apply to the government for the decrease or elimination of the fuel surcharge.
