Change in charge code of insurance surcharge for security of air cargo

Air China Cargo introduced the “insurance surcharge for air cargo security (MSC)” starting on November 16, 2001 based on an approval by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to respond to aviation insurance price hikes due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S., and we have placed partial burden on customers. Please be advised that we have changed the charge code of the surcharge as follows.

Name of charge:	Insurance surcharge for security of air cargo
Effective date:	Air Waybills issued on and after March 1, 2009
Affected cargoes:	Cargoes from Japan to all destinations
Charge code:	Before After MSC SCC
Amount:	From Japan: 600 yen per Air Waybill (AWB) (No change)
How to fill in AWB:	Please fill in the surcharge with the [SCC] code in the [Total Other Charges Due Carrier] section. Insurance surcharge can be paid in advance or on delivery as long as the freight charge is paid with the same payment method.
